Install on Reachy Mini

Opens Reachy Mini Control on this computer. Connect your robot there first and stop any running app. Clicking Install requests installation; it does not start the radio or dancing.

Ready in three steps

  1. Install and open Reachy Mini Control on your computer.
  2. Connect your own robot in Control. It must be awake and idle, with no other app or installation running.
  3. Click Install on Reachy Mini above and allow your browser to open Control. Follow the progress and any errors there. Once installed, start the app in Control when you are ready for movement and sound.
Nothing opens, or you are on a phone?

The install link needs the desktop application to handle reachymini://. This page cannot detect whether it is installed or confirm installation success. On a phone, open this page on your computer.

If the Hugging Face embedded page blocks opening Control, open this page directly in a new tab and click Install there.

If Control says the app is not found, refresh its app catalog and search for reachy_radio_dancer by aidn. A curated-store listing is not required for community Python apps.

Advanced: install via the robot's local API

Run this on a computer that can reach your robot. Replace <your-reachy-ip> with its address. This requests installation only, without starting the app.

The response contains a job_id. Read GET /api/apps/job-status/{job_id} for the actual result; a returned job ID alone does not mean installation succeeded.

Before running: place Reachy on a stable surface and keep the head and antennas clear.
